Through Whites is a light installation that uses three carousel projectors to layer red, blue, and green Pantone colour swatches onto a white wall.
Through a timed sequence, these 270 colour slides are projected on top of each other in various combinations, creating an additive colour mixing experiment that aims to produce white light.
The work reinterprets and inverts Terry Frost's 1969 painting Through Blacks, transforming his subtractive colour mixing approach into a time-based projection piece.
The work was developed with the support of Auction House, Redruth, UK.
